Turkish GP Officially is dropped from F1 Calendar 2012
Turkish GP Officially is dropped from F1 Calendar 2012. The FIA has finally released a Formula 1 race calendar next year. As per predictions, there was no timetable for the Turkish GP in the 20 series are planned. Turkish Grand Prix was first held in 2005 after a binding contract with F1 for the next seven years. That is, the contract will be exhausted in Turkey later this year. Petrov Ready to Compete with Ferrari & McLaren
Vitaly Petrov is ready to pay the Russian public support for him with maximum performance in Formula 1 competition this season. Petrov is ready to compete with established teams like Ferrari and McLaren.
Petrov has just secured its position at the Renault team for two seasons ahead. Russian rider will be a partner for Robert Kubica.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin assess Petrov need financial support to navigate the F1 competition. Putin also announced a technology company Rostekhnologii will be a new sponsor for the 26-year racer.
The number of motorsport enthusiasts in Russia increases every day. Petrov, who is very popular amongst F1 fans in Russia, has just signed a new two-year contract with his team.
For the support it receives it, Petrov also promised to perform better in the 2011 season. Even former GP2 racer is not afraid to compete with big teams like Ferrari and McLaren.
Tom Walkinshaw was passed away
Tom Walkinshaw, the figure who once worked with Michael Schumacher as well as being an important figure in several Formula 1 teams, has died. Walkinshaw died at the age of 60 years because of illness.
Reported by Autosport, Walkinshaw passed away on Sunday (12/12/2010) morning at a location not mentioned. In recent years, Walkinshaw known to have cancer.
Walkinshaw, born in Midlothian, Scotland, is a former racer Lotus Formula Ford, Formula 3, Formula 5000 and Formula 2 in the era of the 1960s and the 1970s. After retirement, Walkinshaw managerial career started.
In 1975, Tom Walkinshaw form Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) that do business in the manufacture of touring car racing and won several prestigious championships, including 24-hour race at Le Mans.
Walkinshaw then stepped into F1 in 1991 with the Director of Mechanics at Benetton. He was involved in the recruitment of Michael Schumacher who appeared impressive in his debut with Jordan.
At Benetton, Schumacher drove Walkinshaw contribute to the world champion 1994. He was suspected of using illegal devices, but the allegations were never proven and Walkinshaw free from sanctions.
